Our Amazing Instructors

Hilary Coull

Hi, my name is Hilary.

I started Jazzercise classes around 2011.  I enjoyed it so much, I decided to take a leap of faith after some gentle persuasion and qualified as a Jazzercise Instructor in May 2014.

I am now the franchise owner and enjoy delivering classes to my fantastic customers.

Hi, my name is Hilary.

I started Jazzercise with a friend when my son started primary school and my daughter was in nursery. I was a single mum and needed some time for myself. No surprise here … I was hooked! I would count the days until I could go to class again.

I am now the franchise owner and love delivering classes to my fantastic customers, where we share a passion for fitness and dance. I’m supported by an amazing team of instructors — Sarah-Anne has been teaching since 2010, Elly qualified in October 2023, and Christine qualified in June 2025. We each have our own teaching styles and all bring energy, encouragement, and a welcoming atmosphere to every class.

We offer full-body workouts throughout the week, with both morning and evening classes featuring cardio and strength programs. The dance element creates a fun, feel-good atmosphere that I always felt was missing from my gym membership.

Personally, Jazzercise has changed my mind and body for the better. As a class, we all pull together to achieve our goals, and it’s great to see the enjoyment on customers’ faces as we enjoy the music and dance our way to a better self.

Jazzercise is a way of life for me now and I can't imagine life without it.  Apart from the exercise element,  it is important in so many other ways.  I have made lifelong friends in my Jazzercise journey and I continue to enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and to see people smile and grow in strength both physically and mentally makes me very happy 🙂.

My favourite format is Cardio Sculpt and I love a back ball change!!

See you on the dance floor 🙂

Hello my name is Christine and I am currently on a journey to gain fitness qualifications.

I couldn’t quite believe it when I saw an advert for a Jazzercise instructor and thought it was perfect timing…

I’m so glad I took the (p)lunge as I have come across such a welcoming and wonderful group of people and a fantastic fitness program!

My ultimate dream is to be a part time music teacher and fitness instructor and I’m so happy that Jazzercise has been the first step in allowing me to do so! I couldn’t imagine a better first step than the jazzercise community!

When not at school, you’ll probably find me in the gym, running, doing ballet, or playing my violin but not at the same time… yet

'm Helen and first found Jazzercise in 2010 and became an instructor in 2012.  I've been lucky enough to teach classes all across the north east in that time.

In addition to Jazzercise, I work full time as a teacher at a local school.  Jazzercise helps me switch off after a long day at work.

I also enjoy listening to podcasts while walking in the local area and indulge my inner child by building the odd lego set.

I'm looking forward to joining the West team and to meeting you all in class!
